Frequently Asked Questions
Q: How are the lash extensions performed?
A. A synthetic faux mink eyelash is applied hair by hair to your own individual eyelash using a special medical grade bonding glue.
Q: Are they waterproof?
A: No, they are water resistant. When showering and cleansing the face, use cleansers that do not contain oil. Always use a gentle hand when cleansing around the lashes. Oils found in swimming pools can break down the bond sooner.
Q: Why do I need to come for a fill every 2 weeks?
A: Your natural eyelashes replenish day by day and they each have a different life cycle. You may lose 1 or 2 eyelashes a day but you may notice the difference right away when they are extended because they look more dramatic compared to when your eyelashes were short and all an even length. Don't worry when some lashes fall off, there are plenty of new ones for our eyelash technician to replace. Some want the full look and will come in every week, whereas some prefer coming in every 2 weeks. Feel free to come as often as you desire.
Q: How do I take care of my extensions?
A: lash extensions are easily maintained. Do not rub your eyes too hard when cleansing them. Avoid any oil based cleansers, lotion or make-up remover. Gel cleanser is recommended. Use a small Q-tip to carefully clean the eyeliner around the eye.
Q: Can I use mascara?
A: We do not recommend regular mascara because when you use mascara, it will weaken the adhesive. If you insist, I Glow Skin sells a mascara best suited for eye lash extensions.
Q: Are the lash extensions glued to my skin?
A: No, they are glued about 1 mm away from your skin. Neither the synthetic lashes nor the glue will ever come in contact with your skin.
